CHAPEL HILL - The No. 4 North Carolina men’s soccer team returns to ACC play when hosting 16th-ranked Virginia this Friday night at Fetzer Field beginning at 7 p.m.
North Carolina (8-1-1, 3-0-1) extended its unbeaten streak to five matches (4-0-1) with a 1-0 victory over No. 20 UNCW on Tuesday. Senior Nico Melo scored the decider in the 68th minute, and keeper James Pyle notched his third-straight clean sheet and seventh of the season. Earlier in the week Pyle was named ACC Co-Defensive Player of the Week after posting a shutout last Friday at then third-ranked Syracuse.
