TAR HEELS QUALIFY FOR ACC TOURNAMENT, MEET FLORIDA STATE FRIDAY: A win over Miami 2-0 last Saturday night in Coral Gables, Fla., has earned the 2015 University of North Carolina women’s soccer team a berth in the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament this weekend in Cary, N.C. The ACC Tournament format was changed last year to a four-team format after being an eight-team tournament dating back to the 1990s. Carolina will meet defending NCAA champion Florida State in this year’s semifinals as the Tar Heels and the Seminoles will clash at 8 p.m. on Friday at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.
