ATHENS, Georgia - No. 2 seed North Carolina has advanced out of the regional round of the NCAA Women's Tennis Team Championship for the eighth year in a row, and next up is 15th seed Duke in the Round of 16 on Friday from the Dan Magill Tennis Complex at 9 a.m.
North Carolina (32-2) earned a pair of victories last weekend on its home courts over Furman (4-0) and No. 29 Ole Miss (4-1) on Sunday afternoon. The marathon victory over the Rebels was the 32nd win for the Tar Heels in 2017, setting a new program record that stood for exactly one season.
