CHAPEL HILL --- The 2017 North Carolina baseball team returned to the upper echelon of the sport, posting a 49-14 record and rising to the No. 2 ranking in all of the national polls. After compiling a program-best 23 ACC wins and winning 10 league series for the first time ever, the Tar Heels were rewarded with the No. 2 national seed in the NCAA Championship and hosted an NCAA regional for the eighth time since 2006.
Led by consensus All-Americans and first-round MLB Draft selections J.B. Bukauskas and Logan Warmoth, the Tar Heels re-established themselves as one of the powerhouse programs in college baseball.
