CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The UNC rowing program has announced its team awards for 2016-17, honoring Tar Heels who excelled on the water, in the weight room, on the ergs and in the classroom.
Sophomore Mackenzie Drake earned the Fastest 2K Award for the varsity squad after having claimed that honor for the novice team last season. This year's novice winner was freshman Abby Hudspeth.
The Spirit Award for the varsity squad went to senior Alexis Amato. She won that honor on the novice squad in 2013-14, when she was a freshman.
