University of North Carolina guard Cameron Johnson suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee, an injury he suffered in practice on Monday, Nov. 13.
Johnson is undergoing surgery at UNC Hospitals this afternoon. (Additional information will be announced later today after surgery is completed.)
The Moon Township, Pa., native joined the UNC Basketball program prior to this season after playing for three seasons and graduating with honors from the University of Pittsburgh.
"I'm extremely disappointed for Cameron," says head coach Roy Williams. "The young man has been working hard to blend in with our team after being such a productive college player the last two-plus seasons.
