University of North Carolina sophomore Ryan Burnett and junior Ryan Gerard were named to the PING Division I All-East Region team.
Burnett (71.45) and Gerard (71.82) concluded the season with the lowest and second-lowest career stroke averages in Carolina men's golf history. Burnett averaged 70.21 strokes in eight tournaments (five in the fall, three in the spring), which unofficially is the lowest in UNC history. Gerard averaged 71.08, which unofficially was the second lowest in UNC single-season history.
Burnett won the Turning Stone Invitational, tied for second place at Notre Dame and the General Hackler Championship in Myrtle Beach and tied for third at Duke.
