SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the five finalists for the 2018 Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award, and North Carolna's Joel Berry II made the list. Named after Hall of Famer and former Boston Celtic guard Bob Cousy, the annual honor now in its 15th year recognizes the top point guards in Division I men's college basketball.
The five finalists for the 2018 Bob Cousy Award are Berry, Devonte' Graham (Kansas), Trae Young (Oklahoma), Jalen Brunson (Villanova), and Jevon Carter (West Virginia).
A national committee of top college basketball personnel including media members, head coaches, sports information directors and Hall of Famers narrowed the original watch list of 20 players down to 10 candidates and now just five finalists.
