Carolina played only three games out of five scheduled; beating High Point and going 1-1 against Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.
The Heels had two games canceled by rain this past week. Weather caused the Wednesday home game against UNC Asheville and the Sunday game at Virginia Tech to be postponed and cancelled respectively. Rain also forced the Tuesday home game against High Point to end after only six innings. The action on the diamond was relatively unremarkable this past week. Carolina was outscored by three runs on the week, but managed to cobble together two wins due to clutch pitching and defense.
