CHAPEL HILL – The University of North Carolina baseball team snapped a four-game losing streak with a 10-5 win over Georgia Tech at Boshamer Stadium on Saturday. The Diamond Heels collected 17 hits, including six players with multiple hits, to also end a three-game slide against the Yellow Jackets.
UNC (22-13, 8-8 ACC) plated four runs in the third inning after each team scored a run in the first. Danny Serretti had an RBI-triple, Alberto Osuna a run scoring single. Mikey Madej lifted a sacrifice fly and Hunter Stokely singled to knock home the final run of the frame.
