CHAPEL HILL – Georgia Tech hit two grand slams, one in the second by Kevin Parada and another in the ninth by Tim Borden, to defeat North Carolina 11-8 at Boshamer Stadium on Easter Sunday, giving the Yellow Jackets a 2-1 series win.
Tech (23-14, 9-9 ACC) scored all its runs off home runs with Borden also hitting a solo homer in the seventh Tres Gonzalez and Colin Hall belted a solo home runs. Borden finished the game 2-for-5 with five RBIs.
Carolina (22-14, 8-10) pounded out 11 hits with four players collecting two hits each.
