Bailey’s Goal The Difference As Heels Advance To QFs

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Sophomore midfielder Dorian Bailey scored on a long distance shot in the 71st minute as sixth-ranked North Carolina advanced past 12th-ranked Clemson in the NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship third round before a crowd of 1,732 fans at Fetzer Field Sunday afternoon.

As was expected between these ACC rivals, it was a hard-fought defensive battle with UNC holding an 11-10 edge in shots and Clemson holding a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.

It took a moment of brilliance to separate the two teams and that came from Bailey, a Mission, Kan.
