CHAPEL HILL—University of North Carolina junior forward/center Armando Bacot earned first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors and senior forward Leaky Black was selected to the league's All-Defensive team, the ACC announced on Monday.
Bacot leads the ACC in rebounding, offensive rebounding, field goal percentage and double-doubles and also is Carolina's leading scorer. The Richmond, Va., native received the highest vote total on the All-ACC first team (380 points) and placed second in voting for ACC Player of the Year (31 of 78 votes).
Bacot has tied the UNC single-season record for double-doubles (23), set the school record for double-digit rebound games in a season (24) and leads the league in rebounds in ACC games by more than six per game.
