The Carolina/Duke rivalry has always had a lot of layers, and one of the layers is that there’s always an unearthed story down the line about how someone was supposed to commit to the other team, how they grew up a fan of the other team, or their family had strong ties to one but they picked the other. It’s a tale as old as time, but in the case of now former Tar Heel Armando Bacot, his change of heart involving the two programs is hard to imagine considering how much he bleeds Carolina blue now.
Bacot was a recent guest on Theo Pinson’s “Run Your Race” podcast, and during the pod he discussed how he used to be a Duke fan before committing to Carolina.
