Week 2 of the college football season is now in the books, and there were some wild moments in it. The biggest result was probably Notre Dame losing at home to Northern Illinois on a late field goal, but there were several other teams that ended up playing unexpectedly tight contests as well. Oregon went right down to the wire with an always pesky Boise State. Alabama didn’t truly put away South Florida until the fourth quarter. Penn State only one by one score against Bowling Green. Tulane gave Kansas State pretty much everything they could handle.
