This weekend ended up being a rare good one for the North Carolina Tar Heels this football season. They went on the road and beat Virginia 41-14 in a game where it was hard to find too much to complain about. There’s still plenty of reason for worry about this season and the general direction of the program, but winning is always better than losing, and that win leaves open the possibility of something being salvaged from this season.
Elsewhere around the country, it wasn’t the craziest of weekends. For the most part, the favorites held serve, some doing so in matchups against fellow ranked teams.
