GREENSBORO, N.C. – North Carolina senior Anton Down-Jenkins was voted ACC Male Diver-of-Year for the second straight season as determined by a vote of the league's head coaches.
Down-Jenkins was a CSCAA First-Team All-American in the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events. The Wellington, New Zealand native placed sixth in the 3-meter event and eighth in the 1-meter at the NCAA Championships. At the ACC Championships, he won the 1-meter championship and was the runner-up in the 3-meter event.
Down-Jenkins is the first diver in school history to be named ACC Diver-of-the-Year twice.
Earlier this season he became the first diver in Carolina history to win consecutive ACC titles, joining John Hussey (1954, '55) and David McInnis (1956, '57).
