CARY, N.C. - Cary Tennis Park continues to be a friendly venue for the North Carolina women's tennis program in 2022. On Thursday at the ITA All-American Championships, the Tar Heels knocked out the top-three seeds in the Main Draw Singles field and have four players into the quarterfinals.
Exactly half of the main draw is made up of UNC players - Fiona Crawley, Abbey Forbes, Carson Tanguilig and Anika Yarlagadda - after each picked up impressive victories in the Round of 16.
No. 21 Crawley took out top seed Sarah Hamner from South Carolina, 6-3, 6-4, in a match played at such a high level that it could have easily been mistaken for Sunday's final.
