After long rain delay, UNC beats Boston College in ACC baseball tournament, 10-0

North Carolina had to wait a little longer than expected to get going in the ACC baseball tournament because of the weather on Thursday.

But once the rain cleared and the Tar Heels took the field it didn’t take them long to crush their first opponent. North Carolina scored three runs in the top of the first inning and beat Boston College 10-0 in seven innings at Louisville Slugger Field.

“Our guys obviously, like everybody else, have been cooped up in the hotel, so they were excited and anxious to play,” UNC coach Mike Fox said. “We got a good start from Tyler Baum and anytime these two guys (Brian Miller and Logan Warmoth) are getting on us for us like they did early, we’ve got a good start offensively.
