CHAPEL HILL - Minnesota Twins first round draft pick Aaron Sabato signed a $2.75 million deal, the organization announced today.
The Twins took the former Tar Heel slugger 27th overall in the 2020 MLB draft on June 10.
Sabato became the 24th Tar Heel taken in the first round or supplemental round in program history and the 16th in Mike Fox's 21 seasons as a head coach. The draft pick marks the 43rd straight season to see a Tar Heel be taken in the MLB Draft.
