Sunday saw the closing ceremony and the end of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Throughout the game, we’ve been keeping track of some of the North Carolina Tar Heels who competed there and came away with medals. That includes Crystal Dunn and Emily Fox in soccer and even a non-varsity athlete in Naya Tapper in rugby sevens.
However, there were several other Tar Heels who were at the games besides those three. While they didn’t end up winning a medal, they still deserve some hat tips, because making the Olympics at all is an incredible achievement.
