The next couple days will see the beginning of this year’s Summer Olympic Games, with Paris, France playing host this time around. As you would expect considering the historical excellence of the North Carolina overall athletic department, many Tar Heels have taken part in the Olympics over the years, and that will again be the case in 2024. With events kicking off as soon as today, here’s a look at exactly when the UNC athletes past and present will take part in their events across the various sports.
While the opening ceremony isn’t until Friday, the Olympic soccer tournaments always start a bit before then, to allow enough time to fit full tournaments in before the closing ceremonies in a little over two weeks.
