North Carolina had a memorable season in 1967 with 26 wins, an ACC first-place finish, an ACC Tournament title and a trip to the Final Four.
But, that was just the beginning of a three-year stretch unequalled in ACC history. All that has preceded this 50th anniversary of those teams can be traced back to that three-year period.
