It was cold. Blankets covered legs, breath was seen in the air, scarves were pulled tight, and yet spirits were high in the crowd of 4,009 that converged in the stands of Fetzer Field. On December 2nd, Carolina men’s soccer played Providence in its Elite Eight game for a chance to travel and compete in the College Cup in Houston.

It was the last Carolina soccer game to be played on Fetzer Field until the 2018 campaign. Starting in 2017 renovations on the stadium will begin and force the Tar Heels to play off campus for a season.
