For the second time this season the Tar Heels compete with a third consecutive team title on the line. Winners the past two weeks at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational in Palm City, Fla., and the Calusa Cup in Naples, Fla., Carolina tees off Friday in the first two rounds of the ASU Thunderbird Collegiate in Phoenix, Ariz.
In addition to the second-ranked Tar Heels and No. 5 Arizona State, the field includes No. 19 Arizona, No. 27 Baylor, New Mexico, Notre Dame, No. 21 Oklahoma State, Oregon State, SMU, No. 13 Texas, No. 3 Texas Tech and Utah.
