The North Carolina Tar Heels are one of 21 teams with offers in to five-star Alpharetta (GA) St. Francis combo guard Kobi Simmons, with Kansas, Kentucky, and the Tar Heels the projected early favorites to land the #1 combo guard and #10 overall player in the nation (per 247Sports).
However, there are several other programs with major designs on making Simmons the focus of their 2016 recruiting efforts, including the LSU Tigers.
According to Jerry Meyer of 247Sports, LSU head coach Johnny Jones is currently visiting Simmons in hopes of helping his program rise up the interest ladder.

Jones is just the latest in a litany of coaches who have visited Simmons, including head coaches from North Carolina, Missouri, Xavier and Arizona.
North Carolina has been rising fast in the projections for Simmons over at both 247Sports and Rivals.com, but it's going to take plenty of work to bring him to Chapel Hill when all is said and done.
