Former UNC-Asheville guard Andrew Rowsey announced his decision to transfer this week and already has a visit to NC State set up, according to Doug Doughty of The Roanoke Times. Rowsey will have to sit out the 2015-16 season but will have two years of eligibility remaining after that. He's also getting interest from Cincinnati, South Carolina, and Marquette.
Rowsey is undersized at 5-10 but proved himself to be a prolific, efficient scorer with Asheville. He averaged 20.3 points per game as a freshman and 19.3 PPG as a sophomore this past season. In the span of a couple of weeks last November, he dropped 26 points on Wake Forest and 30 on South Carolina.
