Former NC State Shortstop Trea Turner, otherwise known as Trea ‘Burner’, stole his 40th base of the season last night in the Nationals 2-8 loss to the Braves.
With this steal, Trea Turner became the 2nd player in #Nats history to swipe 40 bags in a season.
(He's played in 83 games.)

This is the second highest total ever posted by a member of the Nationals. In 2006, Alfonso Soriano stole 41 bases, and Turner has 17 games left.
