Two former NC State Baseball players are on teams in the 2019 Major League Baseball Postseason, Shortstop Trea Turner with the Nationals, and Catcher Andrew Knizer with the Cardinals.
While Knizer didn’t see the field in St. Louis’ first game of the NLDS, this marks Turner’s third trip to the postseason through his first 5 seasons in the Majors. Turner hit a key home run in the National League Wild Card Game on Tuesday, and went 1 for 4 with a double in the Nats loss to the Dodgers in Game 1 of the NLDS.
