NC State’s (24-12/9-6) 11-1 run-rule victory over #14 Louisville (26-9/9-6) this afternoon secured a series win over the Cardinals, taking 2 of 3. The Wolfpack has now won 7 of its first 8 weekend series to start the 2025 season.
Sophomore Ryan Marohn picked up his first win since March 9th (now 4-2), giving up only 1 earned run in 6.2 innings while striking out 4. Junior Andrew Shaffner was the only NC State pitcher needed out of the pen, tossing 1.1 perfect innings. He now boasts a 2.55 ERA on the year.
Senior shortstop Justin DeCriscio continues to display newfound power in his final season, hitting his 7th home run of the year this afternoon.
