The men’s basketball team added Casey Morsell from UVA this afternoon, but the day’s biggest transfer news belongs to the women’s program. Rutgers transfer point guard Diamond Johnson, who averaged 17.6 points per game this season, has signed with the Wolfpack Women. She has four years of eligibility remaining.
Johnson was a top-10 recruit in the 2020 class and was good enough as a freshman to earn second-team All-Big Ten honors; she was the second-leading scorer on a Scarlet Knights team that reached the NCAAs.
She was one of the most efficient scorers in the country, ranking 46th with a 61.
