With the Super Bowl on the mind, here’s a reminder that nine former NC State football players have gone on to play in the NFL’s Super Bowl.
Former Wolfpack All-American offensive lineman Joe Thuney and the Kansas City Chiefs are playing against the Eagles this evening. This marks Thuney’s sixth Super Bowl appearance in nine seasons, tying him for the second-most Super Bowl appearances in NFL history. Thuney already has four Super Bowl rings; winning tonight would give him a fifth. Currently, his four rings tie him for third all-time in NFL history. If he adds another tonight, he will tie with linebacker Charles Haley for second all-time.
