The Carolina Hurricanes were all set to play a game at Carter-Finley Stadium in February of this year, but that event, like so many, was postponed because of the ongoing pandemic. That game isn’t going to happen during this upcoming NHL season either, but it is back on the schedule.
As the N&O reported Tuesday, the executive director of the Centennial Authority told the Raleigh City Council that an outdoor hockey game will be played at Carter-Finley either in late 2022 or early 2023 at Carter-Finley Stadium.
That’s a relief to hear for those of us who worried the NHL might just up and forget about the whole thing.
