The NC State Women’s basketball team defeated the #1 ranked Notre Dame on Sunday afternoon at Reynolds Coliseum with College GameDay in town. It was the first time the Wolfpack have beaten a team ranked #1 in the AP Poll at home since 1978, which also marked their first victory over a top-ranked team.
Overall, NC State is 5-19 against teams ranked #1 in the AP Poll. Wes Moore has been the head coach for three of the five victories.
