There was no doubt Saturday about who had the best team on the floor—that was Iowa. The Hawkeyes controlled the action for the majority of the afternoon, outscoring the Wolfpack Women by at least five points in three of four quarters.
Iowa shot the ball well, NC State didn’t, and that was that.
Factors
State did the best it could to rescue possessions with offensive rebounds, but the gap in shooting effectiveness was far too large. Behind star center Megan Gustafson’s efforts, the Hawkeyes made 60% of their two-point attempts. Gustafson finished 10-14 from the field and scored 27 points.
