NC State’s Ismael Diouf is Serving a 2-Game Suspension to Start the Year

NC State Junior Forward Ismael Diouf (6’9″/215) didn’t dress for the Wolfpack’s season opener tonight against USC Upstate. Head Coach clarified after the game that he is suspended for the first two games of the regular season because he played professionally with the Montreal Alliance.

I spoke with a source prior to the contest, who informed me that he played in two games with the Alliance, but wasn’t paid to play.

Nonetheless, Diouf will miss Friday’s game against Presbyterian, and will be available next Wednesday against Coastal Carolina.

Diouf played collegiate ball at Laval in Quebec City the past two seasons.
