The #12 NC State Women’s Basketball team smashed UNC-Wilmington today 80-40, improving to 2-0 on the season. The win was head coach Wes Moore’s 700th of his career.
Sophomore Elissa Cunane was a force, scoring a game-high 18 points (7-11 FG), along with 9 rebounds and 2 blocks. Junior Forward Kayla Jones and Freshman Jakia Brown-Turner both contributed 11 points.
Freshman Forward Jada Boyd had a game-high 10 rebounds, and Jones had a game-high 6 assists.
After today’s victory, the Wolfpack remains undefeated against the Seahawks, improving to 6-0 over the in-state opponent.
NC State has won 31 straight non-conference games now, and will look to make it 32 on Thursday against Lamar, at 7pm at home on ACCNX.
