NC State Head Coach Dave Doeren just reported at his weekly press conference that Redshirt Junior Wide Receiver CJ Riley will miss the remainder of the 2019 season after tearing his ACL in the season opener this past Saturday against ECU.
The injury occurred when Riley was trying to make a tackle on punt coverage.
This is a huge blow for both Riley and the team.
Unfortunately, Riley has already used his redshirt season.
Riley was primed for a breakout season, with his first true opportunity to shine as a starter. Last season he had 28 receptions for 315 yards and 2 touchdowns.
