The Wolfpack’s Saniya Rivers and Aziaha James were both selected in the 1st Round of the 2025 WNBA Draft this evening. Rivers was taken with the 8th overall pick by the Connecticut Sun, while the Dallas Wings selected James with the 12th overall pick. NC State was the ONLY school to have two players drafted in the 1st round.
Rivers and James became the 5th and 6th players in school history to be selected in the 1st Round.

Rivers and James became the 19th and 20th players in NC State history to be drafted in the WNBA.
