NC State fell to Michigan 66-59 last night in the annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Michigan opened up a big lead in the second half, and State made a good run at them, but there were a few reasons why they couldn’t complete the comeback.
Shaun Kirk’s Awful Stretch
After being down by 15 earlier in the half, State had battled their way back. In fact with 7:33 seconds left the Pack was only down four. It was at this point Shaun Kirk, who hasn’t played at all outside of garbage time, entered the game.
Right off the inbound Cody Martin poked the ball away from a Michigan player, Kirk picked the ball up wildly dribbled the ball down the court but lost it out of bound.
