Duke holds the overall record (41-27-5), but since 1990, NC State has won 15 of the last 18. The Wolfpack have a winning record over the Blue Devils at home (21-17-4), but it’s their struggles on the road that have given them an overall losing record in the series, posting a 16-24-1 record at their place.
NC State and Duke played each other annually from 1924 to 2003. After expansion, the meeting of these cross town rivals has been few and far between, playing 4 times since 2004.
