Yesterday NC State defeated Syracuse 33-25 to improve to 2-0 in ACC play for the first time since 2006.
That’s 11 years.
Back then Chuck Amato was the head coach of the Wolfpack. After starting the 2006 season with a win over Appalachian St., the Wolfpack lost to Akron and Southern Miss. It looked like NC State was turning things around when they defeated Boston College and Florida St, both who were ranked in the Top 25, to start off the ACC schedule. Unfortunately, NC State wouldn’t win another game that season, and it ended up being Chuck Amato’s final season at NC State.
