In his weekly press conference today, Coach Dave Doeren announced that NC State Junior Safety Freddie Phillips tore his Achilles in the game against South Carolina and will miss the rest of the 2017 season. Phillips was the backup to Shawn Boone in the Wolfpack's secondary.
Luckily, he will be able to use this year as a redshirt and have two more years of eligibility. Doeren said Phillips’ surgery was successful, and a full recovery is expected. Best of luck to the young man in his rehab.
All in God's plan.. I'll be back, even better than before https://t.
