NC State reaches out to former Alabama commit Langston Wilson

After losing out on the Jayden Gardner sweepstakes (he’s going to UVA), NC State continues to look for a frontcourt addition and has expressed interest in Langston Wilson, who recently decommitted from Alabama.

Wilson is listed at 6’9 and 215 or thereabouts in his recruiting profile, and he is ranked as one of the five best junior college prospects in this class. There are a lot of high-major programs trying to get involved at this point: NC State, Texas, West Virginia, Missouri, Maryland, and Oklahoma among them.

Gardner was the ideal solution to NC State’s lack of proven depth at the forward spots, and moving on to a guy like Wilson is a whole lot more of a crapshoot.
