Running back Shadrach Thornton has been dismissed from the N.C. State football team following a recent arrest.
Running back Shadrach Thornton has run out of chances at N.C. State as the school dismissed him from the football team following an arrest on Tuesday night stemming from a scooter accident.
"It's an unfortunate set of circumstances, but we've made the decision to dismiss Shadrach from our program,” said N.C. State coach Dave Doeren said in a statement.
Thornton, 22, was charged with failure to stop and render aid and failure to provide information after he drove into Jimmie Woodard with his scooter and left the scene.
