During last week’s loss to the Clemson Tigers, the North Carolina State Wolfpack lost a key piece of their offense in the first half when running back Matthew Dayes went down with a foot injury. He did not play the rest of the second half, where the Wolf Pack were only down 26-20 going into the locker room, as they lost 56-41.
It was reported on Thursday by College Football Talk that Dayes had suffered a an undisclosed foot injury and will miss the rest of the season.
He will undergo surgery on Friday and head coach Dave Doeren commented on Dayes’s injury.
