NC State pursuing DePaul transfer guard Brandon Cyrus

Welcome to the latest installment of As The Transfer Market Turns, this time starring DePaul sophomore guard Brandon Cyrus, who very understandably has decided to flee the clutches of head coach Dave Leitao. (Leitao begins each day by berating his breakfast; bet you didn’t know that.)

NC State, LSU, Vanderbilt, and Nevada are some of the schools that have reached out to Cyrus, per The Athletic’s Aaron Torres. Cyrus averaged 7.2 points per game and made 23 starts for the Blue Demons this past season. He has two years of eligibility remaining and would have to sit a year as an undergraduate transfer***.
