NC State just keeps rolling on the recruiting trail, y’all. The Wolfpack landed a verbal commitment on Tuesday afternoon from cornerback Shyheim Battle, who is a consensus four-star prospect in the 2019 class. The Rocky Mount-native is listed at 6’2 and 173 pounds by 247Sports.
The Wolfpack now has commitments from seven of the top 25 prospects in North Carolina, easily out-pacing the rest of the Big Four. Battle picked NC State over Clemson, Ohio State, Tennessee, LSU, Virginia Tech and holds plenty of offers from across the country.
He had initially planned on committing in December, just ahead of the start of the early signing period, but the Pack is more than happy to take the good news now.
