Because, well, this football offseason wouldn’t be complete without another coaching staff move, NC State has quickly swapped out their Quality Control Coach for Special Teams in a matter of about 24 hours.
First, Doug Shearer left the position to become the new Special Teams Coordinator at Miami of Ohio. Shearer had been NC State’s Special Teams Quality Control Coach since 2015, and was also on the Wolfpack staff in 2014.
Today, NC State announced the hiring of Worth Gregory to fill the vacancy left by Shearer’s departure.
Gregory, a native of Fort Mill in South Carolina, comes to NC State after having spent one season at Utah State as the special teams administrative assistant coach.
