Nyheim Hines had a career day against North Carolina Saturday, which is fitting since he grew up a State fan. Hines didn’t impact the game significantly until the second half, but there he put on the burn. He’s very fast, and UNC learned all about it.
This game was a trudging grossness for the majority of the first three quarters, but State eventually remembered that it has a much better team than UNC, and Nyheim Hines helped the team remember that it had no business losing the game.
Hines needed about a buck sixty to hit 1,000 yards rushing on the season, and he ran for 196 against the Tar Heels despite missing a chunk of last week’s game against Wake because of injury.
